Any young people who will be starting university in a few weeks, do not abandon a sense of decorum in the absence of parental supervision.

I speak primarily of fashion. Obviously it is normal for the young to want to extenuate their individuality but please don't abandon all vestiges of self restraint and dye your hair blue and yellow just to prove to other young people that you have a personality and hold currently acceptable political beliefs.

Also don't get tattoos either.

They always will come up with something new. What was blue hair 20 years ago was the long hair of the 60s.

To say not to do it, actually encourages them to do it.

That was true then in the 1960s as it is true even now.
