Most times you update or upgrade to better something or make it work smother
But similar worlds does the opposite it puts updates and upgrades to hinder the users from doing anything easy

It's not really an update. That feature and other options are already available at the top of your post.
The new button is there because I suspect that few people notice that button on top, despite it having been there forever.
They are attempting to let people know the option is there. I'm guessing few people use it.
