Can experience be inauthentic?

One example is you work as a cashier and you were trained how to operate it but someone else actually operates the register.
So you can legitimately say you have experience as a cashier because of that.
But what experience do you really have?

@Alex1610: To me experience means one has seen the ups and downs of a particular job or career; one has inside knowledge of this and that and is able to carry that knowledge to other fields of work.
It doesn't mean one knows everything but certainly knows more than before.
