I feel kinda bad. I was eating lunch on my trucks pick up bed and a hornet started buzzing my food. The little one wouldn’t leave me alone so I

Swatted at him. It flew away then came back. I guess I hit its abdomen as it started curling in a ball in what looked like pain. It struggled for awhile and then just stopped. It was resting on the tail gate with me about 1.5 feet away. I tried to blow him away but it just caused wriggling. Then when I got up I blew it away so as not to crush it when I closed the tailgate. I didn’t want hurt it, but damn it wouldn’t leave me alone..

If it was a damn sweat bee you wouldn’t have these thoughts.

@MrAboo Sweat bees are mean. They are tiny but they’ll come and park their acid-laden butt on your arm and burn you with it, for no good reason either just for the hell of it. Feels like a cigarette burn it hurts so much. Used to get stung out at a rural cemetery where my grandmother was buried while visiting the area.

I’m the same. I’d rather they not suffer and die, but sometimes it’s inevitable.

@Carissimi hornets are predators of pests so killing it was not something I wanted to do
