They can brag when they get a job that pays them enough to pay their student loans and move out of their parent’s basements.

@SW-User I worked at a university and heard a lot of the part time or temp student workers bragging. I wonder how many of them were successful and how many of them settled for jobs outside of their majors. The ones I worked with that had the best work ethic and attitude were very successful.. Last I heard on one he became the Vice President of a bank in Tulsa and another became an engineer but also started his own temp employment business where he would hire 100 or more at a time. Both very serious workers and very respectful to work with. Thinking that the slackers didn’t do nearly as well.

@cherokeepatti the hard workers were probably the humble ones who made it in life. Those who bragged are probably stuck with me

@SW-User the one who became a banker came from a family where he didn’t have to work to support his way through college but he told his dad he wanted to because he didn’t want him to give him everything. So that guy had it figured out pretty good before he graduated.

@SW-User He would talk about things that I could never afford as far as his family etc. but he wasn’t doing it to show off and never made me feel like lower class even though I was just starting over and had very little. He was doing a blue-collar job too and didn’t care if the other business students saw him doing it. He seemed like he would be the type if he started a business and hired people he would be respectful to them all as long as they were doing the job they were hired to do well.
