Before I sold my SUV I had a similar problem. Battery was stolen. No keyhole in the back. No rear release in front. So I had to take the back panel off from the inside and release the catch the hard way!
The fob was the only way to open the darn back.
Interesting to note the front passenger side also had no keyhole. Just the drivers side.

@Lilnonames I heard about GMC's radio release and thought similar. Not the case with Chevy. The radio was specially changed in later. Better radio/cd player. This was a 2006 Trailblazer.
