@TwinklelilStar: the first rung on a tall ladder to sadness, I think. actually probably much higher on the ladder.
@malcontent: haha perhaps...

if I go, I don't hide. at least not anymore than any other places.

I've never been to a Walmart.
@hunkalove: that is really sad . I dont support that. And even if the people who had shops or work at those locally owned shops got jobs at Walmart it is probably at minimum wage.

@TwinklelilStar: Yes. Walmart has destroyed America.
@hunkalove: that is a strong statement. Walmart has been number 1 on the Fortune 500 for years but more importantly employs $1,4million people in the US. Dont get me wrong i am not a strong supporter either.

I avoid Walmart completely. I've been in one, and didn't find what I wanted to buy, and to call it chaotic would have been an understatement. I don't have the same issues at other big box stores, like Target or Lowe's.

@TwinklelilStar: True, but the Walmart I was in that was chaotic is in an upper income area, so the product offerings should be a bit better. I didn't get the hype that some had when the store was going to open, since there was nothing that really stood out as a draw to deal with the depressing store, parking, etc. Outside of a loss leader, too, Walmart's prices are not always lower than the competition, so it pays to comparison shop. They also don't even price match their own website to the store, whereas Target and Best Buy do.
@toddr13: so far everyone on here seems to have very strong feelings against walmart.
toddr13 · 46-50, M
@TwinklelilStar: Yes, since I really think that the employees at the store I have been to simply do not care, which is likely why the customers don't care for the store that much either.

Lol very openly I wish there was a Walmart by me :P
I've accidentally shopped at Walmart---by buying something on amazon.com and it ending up being delivered in a Walmart box.
