How do you feel about personal cctv in apartment blocks?

All our front doors look onto each other the space outside on the landing is probably no bigger than 6ft by 6ft so they are really in close proximity.
One neighbour has decided to get a ring door bell.
Why I really don't know when we have to buzz people into the building.
Anyways it looks directly on to the door opposite and you can see who's coming up and down the stairs.
