Any home remedies for burns to the face?
Preferably treatments that prevent scarring. Went to see the doctor today and he prescribed an ointment. I've heard about aloe vera and petroleum jelly.

I would skip the petroleum jelly for sure. Aloe Vera is good and so is Vitamin E oil…if you can buy some gel capsules of Natural Vitamin E oil pin-prick them and squeeze the oil onto the burn to help healing. This is what a doctor told me decades ago. You can also use a scar healing gel that has an onion extract in it. It’s called Mederma.

@cherokeepatti Yes, I've used vitamin E oil from a burn on my arm when I touched it with the edge of the iron 🙄. Totally disappeared now. 👍

@Fluffybull if you can get fresh aloe vera and apply the sap of it you can look every couple of hours and see how it’s healing from the outside to the inside and knitting the cells back together as it does. Most of the aloe vera gel that is sold is said to be fake. There is one that I know for sure is authentic and it’s kind of expensive but it works well and that’s Catherine’s Choice brand, have to order online.

@cherokeepatti also it's easy to grow. That's what both my father and mother did.

Mix Aloe vera vit e oil and coconut oil and apply. You will definitely see fruitful result.

How badly were you burned? And what happened? Being you’ve seen a physician I’d follow his /her recommendations.
