What to do, when you have broken contact with someone recently but you know they may need you now as they didn't trust many...do you relent ?

I read down the comments and found your reason and I will say this.
Your partner is the most important person in your life and should be respected as such.
I am afraid since you broke off with them, even though they might not speak this way again, that they would harbor the same bad thoughts about your S/O.
If there is ever a little bickering between you again this person could start on your SO again.
Sorry but they might need you but you dont need them. They might be toxic for your relationship.
