What to do, when you have broken contact with someone recently but you know they may need you now as they didn't trust many...do you relent ?

I broke contact with them for a reason. If I'll only be doing it just to help them at that moment and don't really plan on sticking with them, I'd rather not.. I'll probably just make it worse by temporarily caring and then leaving afterwards.

@Primnproper: this is the ideal way to deal with it,I think, but human emotion is very delicate and complicated... sometimes we end up doing the opposite because we care too much.. but meh, who cares, you do whatever works for you.. :)
