If you had a net worth of $20 billion, what would you do?

My mother and I have this conversation from time to time.

To answer your question, I would pretty much do anything in my power to pay back the people that helped me to get far in life. I would give 20-30% to legitimate charities and the communities (not a whole lot). Pay all of my priorities. I would buy a nice house, pay off my student loan, pay all bills, pay for college to get my Master's Degree, travel to live my dream as an opera singer, and save up the rest for the future. There's no way in life will I impulse spend. Haha

You're right about people wanting to be your friend just for the money you have. Eventually, immediately abandon you once things go to hell. Those aren't your true friends. I've been through that before. It was a difficult time. Now, I know better and tell them no.

I would invest it all and live off the earnings spending my time flying from country to country visiting orphanages and giving them money then i would get a couple of body guards and walk around poor suburbs handing out brown paper bags with $1000 dollars in each of them to random people.. It would be insane but it would be very enjoyable..

Even if i only earned 3% on that 20 billion i would have a budget of 600 million a year.. I would be a very busy guy handing out that amount of money across the globe..

I would 1st Tithe to the Church and then, invest, set up multiple foundations each one to benefit from the investment increases, Water Wells in Africa and Other arid locations, Mercy Ships, Multiple aided efforts for India, Israel, Asia, Americas.

Pay off some debt. Buy a quaint cottage like home. Save and invest. Provide needs for my children. Take a family vacation, or two, every year. Give to help others.

The community can suck my pinky toe. I'd help my mom and little brother. That's it.

I would buy a house and pay off a car and then pay cash to finish school. I would not work and just go to school until I finished. I would donate and start charities for mental awareness and mental health for women getting out of domestic violence. I would donate start a charting for Foster children and orphanages and adopted children. And I would donate to sex traffic victims

I would not give any to a community for sure. I would help out my loved ones with things that would make their lives so much easier. Set my son up for life and his mother.
buy land back In Norway and build a home there away from people.
Buy a factory type place and fully invest in my small business in the hopes of making it much bigger

Buy a nice home with land. Travel to places I've always wanted to visit.
