Why

Internet makes us anti social when it should do the opposite!! :/
*shrug* I don;t actually know but I suspect that it because there are no consequences for our actions. I don't mean this in only the negative sense, but in the positive.
Everything is very intentional and there is no unintentional contact.

You find someone you really enjoy, but the enjoyment lasts only while they are on the screen in some form in front of you. There is no bumping into one another, there is no sitting together smiling at the same things making light conversation. This is a very limited way to communicate and people are easily brushed off and moved on from without consequence.

people rather take risk on meeting new people online than irl. less pressure and anxiety. it doesnt make you antisocial, you already are. it just coddles it.

It depends how you interact with the internet. Exposed too long could affect you in a lot of ways depending what you surround yourself with.
