An interesting thing about French election is that it's 60+ age group people are largely Pro Macron which will help him to win this election.

Which is pretty strange. Coz in most democratic election when right parties win election, most 55+ voters tend to vote for conservative. In France it's quite opposite. I checked another opinion polls too which showed voting share (age 18 to 50) is almost 50/50 vote for both Macron and Le Pen. But older people are prone to Macron.

I have a friend and she voted for Macron. She says, Arab/Muslim immigration is playing major role & forcing many young liberals to choose right parties and hateful towards immigrants. She says, hadn't this Russian offensive taken place, Pen would have won. And Zemmour played the similar immigration card too.
I somewhat believe this logic as I witnessed it multiple times when I lived there years ago. Obviously, it's increased by many folds.

This incoming islamic refugee thing ironically played a major role in brexit and existing islamic population along with multiple past islamic invasions function as one of the most decisive factors in current Indian election also.

It is not surprising at all. Older voters get their 'information' from tv, and we know that the socioliberal status quo is in control of the media.
