Does people really ask other SW members for money?

Someone told me today a lot of people on here asks him for money - I was very surprised!! I know of one other person that gave people on EP money but did not realize it was a common theme on here!! Any thoughts or personal experiences?

it seems to be the males that are caught for suckers yes . Us women are to intelligent to fall for that kind of thing.
