Does people really ask other SW members for money?

Someone told me today a lot of people on here asks him for money - I was very surprised!! I know of one other person that gave people on EP money but did not realize it was a common theme on here!! Any thoughts or personal experiences?

@JaggedLittlePill: i know someone personally that has on several occasions. People really used and abused him and he was just a kind person and felt sorry for them. But I think they used him.
