What are your views on people snooping in someone's home?

I invited someone in to my home and they actively went through my things. Opening cupboards and drawers.
I found it all very out of order and incredibly rude.

I had to tell them that although yes I wanted them to be comfortable that didn't mean they had access to my private and personal information.

That’s not cool. Basic good manners should keep someone from doing that. My friends have left me alone in their home with their pets when they had a family emergency out of town, because they know they can trust me. Frankly, I don’t want to know their private business, y’know ? I don’t need to know stuff like that.

@bijouxbroussard Well I wonder if it is because he is older than me? He thinks he has a right to do as he pleases.
Either way I've not let him back.
He thought it was funny.
@Mellowgirl I’m older than my friends, but I respect their privacy. It is a question of respecting boundaries, and it doesn’t sound like he does. It’s wise not to invite him again.

@bijouxbroussard I don't really understand what possess anyone to behave in such a way.
I really didn't appreciate it.
I guess it's different people really. He got too familiar!
