Why are people criticizing me for still living with my parents or driving?

Well my dad rather. My mom…..isn’t in my life. I’m 28 and some of my co workers were like, “When are you going to move out? You’re 28 years old, living with your daddy and you are even working on getting your own place. It’s just pathetic and what are you going to do when he’s gone? He isn’t going to be around forever you know. It’s just the ugly truth. Autism or not, you need to hear the ugly truth. Stop using your autism as an excuse! Go out for what you want.”
Another said, “Stop doing everything he does and do what YOU want. Like if you wanna get a dog, just get one. Who cares what your dad said. Your a working woman and you don’t have to do what daddy says. Get on. You don’t have to do everything he says. Be a woman.”
I don’t know who do these people think they are. Can’t afford to move out and I don’t make much money. I make $15.00 an hour. Even some of my relatives are pushing me to learn to drive. I take the bus. I get asked, “Why don’t you wanna drive?”
My dad even said, “You need to learn to drive! I’m tired of driving. Drive me around for once! I don’t care about your autism. Throw it out the window. Learn to drive.”

A wise Indian man (whose name escapes me right now), once said something like this: it is no measure of achievement to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

Although driving will be very beneficial for you, it is your life, so live it your way. 🙏

I'm sorry to hear about your experiences.Humans will be humans. We can never make everyone happy.Do things that make you
happy.You don't owe these people a living.

I envy you because you still have a dad as my beloved dad passed away recently.I will do anything to get him back.Treasure him while he is still around.

I can't say that I understand your autism but I'm sure it's not easy for you.Nobody should be making fun of anybody.I have been made fun of plenty of times and the feeling is not great. Hugs...

You really have to stop worrying about what other people think I see a common negative theme with your posts..

@SW-User I try to but I can’t help it. I’m tired of people opening their fucking mouths all the time. I know people always have something to say but it doesn’t mean I don’t hear them. I’ve been made fun of because of my autism.

Those are fucking rascals who are so judgmental and they think what they think is right and good for everyone, secondly no one asked for their useless advice so you should shut their mouths so they should know their limits!
Be the boss of your own, don't let outsider to bark more then requirement!

Your choices, your life. If you're a blessing and help to your parents, your doing God's work.

Busybodies who care to comment on other people's lives never walked an inch in another person's shoes. I wouldn't pay attention to virtue signalers, they usually lack virtue.
