The best way is by cooking wisely and not buying out. Buy a big bag of rice, and a rotary chicken and a bag of frozen veggies, (or fresh mushrooms, spinach and onions all that is super anti-cancer foods) and some fruit, bananas, and apples. That should last one person many days.
