1983. I was 18. Had a great job in London.
Met hundreds of talented people !
Grew a network of dozens of community minded folk. From an array of cultures and backgrounds.
I went to pubs; clubs; barbecues; bries; etc.
Immersed myself in both African and Jewish cultural events (given that East London has a big Jewish and West African population)
Went to see plays in the West end. Dance and club events.
Bodypoppin' and Robotic dance crazes were everywhere.
Ate some interesting food; drank some crazy alcoholic stuff brewed by folk I knew.
Met a woman who was amazing who I still talk to today !
Yes. Probably the best year of my life !
