Why do you think EP got shut down for a while?

I used to assume it was because for a couple months right before it shut down, that troll was harassing everyone pretty hardcore. Not only did they make extreme racist remarks, but if anyone stood up to him, he would create a fake profile of that person and start posting racist remarks making others think it was that person. But then, sometime way after I got on SW here, someone said they heard it was shut down because 2 people met from the site in person and one of them murdered the other one

Yeah, I think it had to do with the murder. The site was likely part of the investigation.

I didnt even know about it until recently because I had family stuff going on during that time and wasnt on there.

No - that troll was on AM and here too in the beginning, not sure how he was gotten rid of....but I think it was the scandal around the murder that caused EP to shut.

There are many stories as to why it shut down.

From wjat i remember being posted by EP official media ...it was legal fees that shut it down .

Basically , so many complaints from those who got harassed, threatened , stalked and such.

They just couldnt affors the legal costs , and it broke EP.

It wont be coming back.
