Do you think exterminators are effective? I don't feel they are completely

After being a hotel and apartment manager, I have realized I can get roaches to go away better than exterminators can. Same with ants

How do you do it?

Roaches are attracted to stinky things. Old food, urine, old trash, animals.. You just have to find the main location they are nesting. Usually in the hotel rooms. It's under the fridge. I have a can of lysol ready and I move the fridge, then spray them to slow them down and just smash and kill as many as I can. I figure the ones that run off mihht die from the lysol. Then thoroughly clean the area, and just keep killing as you see them. Keep everything smelling good and clean, and they eventually go elsewhere. I don't think people realize roaches are simply attracted to bad smells. Keep clean and you won't have them. In apartments, if you see roaches. You more than likely have a dirty neighbor nearby. With ants, there's a particular brand of liquid. You have to go outside the property and see where there's a trail of them. Put drops there for a couple days until they dissappear completely. Some of the ants bring the poison to the queen and share it with others. Once you get rid of them outside, you won't see them on the inside anymore
