Does anybody like artists that are outside of their favorite genre of music?

I love classic rock and classic heavy metal and have a whole iPod full of those two styles of music but I also love classical music, blues music and I also love John Williams, James Horner, Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, Enya, Sarah Brightman, Gloria Estefan, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Israel "IZ" KamakawiwKamakawiwo'ole, Sigur Ros, and I like some folk music too such as Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger. Does anybody else have artists that they listen to that are outside of their favorite genres?

Yeah. I like these songs very much..."I hate you I luv" by Gnash and "Closer" by The Chainsmokers, but I don't like the music. My music genre is like those by The Vamps, Twenty One Pilots, where they play lots of drumming and also EDM genre.

While I love classic rock and heavy metal plus those other genres that I listed I even like one song by The Vamps.

@Diyanne: Simon & Garfunkel have a song called Cecilia and The Vamps did an adaptation of it. Have you heard either version?

@Diyanne: Well listen to both the one that Simon & Garfunkel did and the adaptation of it by The Vamps. I love both versions.

I watch that video a lot and the reason I didn't call the Vamps version a cover is because the original has completely different lyrics. This version that the vamps did they just kept the chorus to the original.

@storykid: Emmm...I'm not so much on to lyrics. Im more towards the music and melody of the songs. Is it correct?..I use the word melody...idk how to say it...

I think you said it right. Melody is how a song flows for example guitar melody and This Land is Your Land and You Are My Sunshine have the same melody.
