I love rock music, but I am a huge Otis Redding fan. Beastie Boys and Johnny Cash too.

Blues; soul and jazz are normally my listening habit.
Discovered them when I was quite young and have listened ever since.
But by way of contrast.
Yesterday I was scanning YouTube and somehow wound up in an operatic section.
There I found O Fortuna.
You'd know it if you heard it.
It's that really dramatic piece in Latin that's been used countless times in movies and adverts on tv.
Which then got me looking for an English translation.
Which then found me chatting to half a dozen folk from around the world discussing it !
So even when you make a leap into something that just holds an interest. You never know where it might lead you !

Well it's very complicated. I love te comedian George Carlin and back in 2011 I watched a video on YouTube called Tribute to George Carlin: Thanks for the Laughs and Stuff and the video had different clips of George Carlin and it was set to the Overture to the Marriage of Figaro by Mozart. At first I watched the video to listen to the George Carlin clips then I found myself watching it over and over because I was enjoying its background music, I wanted to know so bad what the music was called and then one night my brother who had the movie Zombieland on DVD was watching that movie and I overheard Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and I googled "Zombieland Soundtrack" and I learned what that piece was called and then I looked it up on YouTube and was thrilled that I could finally find the piece of music that I was searching for for quite a while.

@storykid: My mother used to like the Comic operas from Gilbert and Sullivan.
So she would often play audio tapes around the house when we were kids.
My father loved his music.
I remember him returning from a Saturday shopping trip with Santana's debut album.
He sat on the floor with me between his legs and we listened together .
Loved it !
All those drums !!!

Yeah. I like these songs very much..."I hate you I luv" by Gnash and "Closer" by The Chainsmokers, but I don't like the music. My music genre is like those by The Vamps, Twenty One Pilots, where they play lots of drumming and also EDM genre.

I think you said it right. Melody is how a song flows for example guitar melody and This Land is Your Land and You Are My Sunshine have the same melody.

Sarah Brightman is the most beautiful and charming woman I've ever met. She is tiny like a little fairy!

You actually met Sarah Brightman??

@storykid: Yes indeed many years ago. I worked for Discovery Channel at the time and met her at her record release party. She's a goddess. :)

I like many genres.
Absolutely. I like artists from just about every genre there is. But my favourite genres are classical and jazz.
