I have two questions

@AntisocialTroll why does the person who downvotes become a coward when it was SW who decided to make it anonymous??? I myself would downvote haters anonymous or not. I'm not alone in that. The real cowards are the ones who downvote here but would not say a word to someone irl. They wouldn't do it if people knew it was them

@fernie2 Because it's mostly being used by those who haven't the balls to make a comment on the post, it's being used to downvote everything from selfies to funny posts by people being nasty for the sake of it, yet those same people don't comment as they'd have to put their username to it.

I think it's cowardly, it shouldn't be anon.

@AntisocialTroll every feature on a social site has people who abuse and misuse them. It's bugging me how many people here demonize people who use the DV....plenty of us use it responsibly, NOT because we are cowards. I do all 3...confront,DV then block ONLY if the person is abusive, openly racist or sexist, or a pig male who can only focus on his weenie or uses the C word...not everyone is comfortable confronting someone for their own reasons, so the DV is how they express their feelings without confrontation.

@fernie2 I've yet to see it used that way, I suspect that's because I don't usually bother with either religion or politics posts.

So far I've only really seen it used as almost a tool to bully people with.

If it wasn't anon I wouldn't have the same problem with it but as it is anon and being misused I'd like to see the site make the DV publicly visible to all so that it's not used to bully people.

@AntisocialTroll I'm good with it not being anonymous...it would happen less, BUT, people would be at each others throats. It seems to be not such a good idea

@fernie2 I don't disagree it'd cause agro but lets face it it's already causing great upset to those who are being downvoted for no real reason but someones spite, at least removing the anon feature would help prevent the bullying.
