I was in a long distance relationship (across continents)
We were counting the days until our 1 year anniversary.
3 weeks before that day, my grandpa passed away, and I misdirected my anger and sadness and broke up with my SO.
A few weeks later I realized my mistake and after a small, asked if there was any chance of them taking me back. I got a no.
This was 1,5 years ago, but it still hurts just as much.

@BarbossasHusband I'd like to add, my grandpa passing was my first real experience with desth, and he was the only man I could always count on to be there for me and my sister.
