How many languages do you speak?

3 and 2 dialects..
And trying to learn Spanish ☺️

3, but really too competently. My Norwegian is not real fluid. I end up mixing Icelandic in because they are so close.

I would love to learn Icelandic.. Complicated prononciation.. I don't mind that 😁
@ASLAN it’s not bad for me, but I grew up learning it along with English. They say it’s the hardest Norse language to learn because it’s the closest to Old Norse (what the Vikings spoke.) The other Norse languages (like Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish) incorporated things in during the Renaissance (such as Latin parts,) but Icelandic stayed very pure heritage wise due to it’s isolation.

@DarkHeaven interesting.. I honestly think Arabic and Chinese are the hardest languages to learn..
Since I spoke one of them I think Islandic would be a little bit easier phonetically at least ☺️
@ASLAN Hardest “Norse” language to learn. I’m sure Arabic and Chinese are more difficult. I wouldn’t want to compare them to those. It is the most difficult Nordic language, though.
