I'm in the process of a Divorce and as much as we are trying to end this amicably I think the Lawyers are going to make it ugly and in the end I will hate her even more then I do now.
I think if Children are involved it is best to try and be friendly, but I don't know if that's possible. Lot's of hurt feelings and such.

The lawyers WILL have an influence. What typically happens is the other person will be painted as the "enemy." And that's because lawyers approach their work to "win."
Your call but I might try to get in front of that so your ex-wife isn't overly influenced on a personal level. She's already had her girlfriends in her ear telling her why you're the bad guy. Don't need it from lawyers too. Good luck.

Actually, I think it's her girlfriends who have convinced her that she would be better off single. And I'm sure her lawyer is telling her stuff. I've tried to sit down and come up with a mutual split but she won't listen, and instead it's, I want this, and I want that, and I'm taking this. etc. My Lawyer says she has no right to take anything if we haven't agreed on it, and if she keeps taking stuff out of the house when I'm at work, he will get an injunction against her.
So it's probably on its way to ugly already lol

@dickpumper: Well, like they say, the woman you married is NOT the woman you will divorce. And yeah. I'm pretty sure she has the "support" of her friends. That's how that works. It's a short walk from supportive to vindictive.
While not knowing your situation your best call might be to go in to protective mode. Yeah..the courts tend to side with women, especially when kids are involved, but that doesn't mean men don't have rights.
I repped a lawyer for a while who only represents men in Family Court and some of his stories blew my mind. The fact that you have a lawyer puts you ahead of the game. A lot of guys don't recognize the reality.
Good luck man.
