What's a good pet to get?

@Mellowgirl What's your living situation and level of activity?

@CountScrofula 2 floor flat, no balcony, communal garden, quiet road but it is in a city.
5 min walk to the local park.
I'm home full time, these days I have very few visitors.
But if I had a pet I'd probably have more incentive to do more.

@Mellowgirl Since you're home full time and have access to a local park you can probably have an apartment-friendly dog. Medium to small-sized and go for breeds or individual dogs who enjoy lazy times between runs and aren't territorial (i.e. bark at everything).
Lower maintenance, get yourself a kitty who doesn't like a cat.

@CountScrofula ohhh thank you for the advice. As for cats that's a big fat no for me. Really not a fan
