Is masculinity slowly dying?

[c=#7700B2]dont mean any offence to this what so ever but slowly as time goes on and on into new generations of people, it seems men are getting more feminine and a lot seem afraid to embrace masculinity these days. I have no problem with people being whatever they wanna be, so don't try twisting my words here or anything... I'm just curious [/c]

To me, masculinity is a quality that an individual exudes naturally and this never changes. Some will always have that innate 'something' that gives off an aura of authority, leadership or assertion. What I would say is that men have had to change to avoid falling foul of modern convention. Being gallant, for example, can lead to a rebuke and men now feel edgy about giving their seat up on a bus or offering to help a lady with something. I'm not saying this is always the case but there is an increasing accusation of sexism these days that I, personally, see as a pervasive phenomenon. I stand ready for some 'incoming'...

Oh yeah, I've seen a woman on a bus berate a man for giving up his seat to her. That's not that common but it's bizarre to think that a woman would get so angry about being offered a seat.

Sad, isn't it? It was called 'Good manners' in my day...
