I am VERY selective when it becomes to be friend with someone.
Usually I just add people as friends when I know them since a really long time (at least one year), when there's regularly contact and when I see that they are interested in me.
People on SW probably just add me as a friend because of shallowness. Normally I put them from my list again when I see that someone has added me.

@Loretta78 I guess gender has something to do with this. Most men love attention, many women prefer caution and selection.
And then again "friend" is just a term here meaning perhaps that you get notified about their posts and comments. Friendship in real, as you refer, is indeed rare, my friend 🤗
