Do you think I'm trying too hard to look/appear white?

Everytime I go over to my parents house that's my dad's favorite thing to attack me on. He says I pretty much erased all that made me asian just about. Heaven forbid if I wear circle lenses in his presence.

@FutureIdol me and my bf started watching singles inferno and there was a lot of mentions of colorism but Koreans seem to have extreme beauty standards anyway . The idea about women who are very pale skinned being pure

@PepsiColaP Yeah s lot of kpop idols are like paper white. Same goes for Japanese culture too. The paler the better. Korea is far harsher though I think.

@FutureIdol Yeah I mean if you think of geishas they wore white paint on their face because it was considered attractive but it is archaic . I just think it's funny when the beauty standards in the west seem to be more so of the tanned ,bigger hips ,bigger lips ,bigger back type which arent traditionally features of 'white' people lol.

@PepsiColaP It is funny because in the east everyone wants to be western and then in the west everyone wants to be tan and have a big everything

@FutureIdol I think is just a case of standing out ,wanting to be seen , and different features being more attractive to each because of how rare they are
