Can someone tell me if season 5 and 6 of the walking dead are worth to catch up on for season 7

People have been saying it just gets worse and I'm really far behind

I thought 5 and 6 were good. I know a lot of people think The Walking Dead is overrated but I'm still a fan and can't wait till the next season to be uploaded on Netflix.
