They kept to themselves....I lived in a county with the highest population of Amish in the state and never had a problem with them, they'd come into towns on Saturday morning to take care of business.

I have had a very different experience. Poaching, trespassing, theft and many arrested for drug dealing. The worst are the ones who are jailed for molesting their daughters.

@Malingermind: I have heard of the molestation charges in some of the families....the drug dealing and all of that I've never heard of. What state is this in?

Michigan and Ohio. Every once in a while they will get caught shoplifting

@Malingermind: I've never heard of it in Missouri or even here...they stay to themselves. Here the only time I've seen them in stores was at a Hobby Lobby, they were buying sewing and crafting items.

Different sects I guess.

@Malingermind: I think they worked too hard to get into trouble back then. These teens learn a bit of worldiness when they get out and do their Rumspring stuff and then go back to the farms and keep doing it.

Some of these Amish are in their 30's and 40's. We have a real bad group here in central Michigan.
