My kids do not like candy so we started a tradition 4 years ago and we take the trick or treat candy and we bake cookies and bring water (About 50 servings) and we stop by different areas of Nashville and visit the homeless on the streets and my children get to see that they are just like us, but in different situations.
@JerseyGal my 3 kids each have a backpack (one with candy, one with cookies, and one with water) and they get them out of each bag and hand them out as we meet people on the streets.
