Life would be easier as a man. Men are more easily accepted in society. We have to work harder than a man to advance in our career and still receive less pay. Periods are the worst and try carrying a child for 9 months while your body is stretched and pumped full of hormones.

@sassypants I agree with you on the physical stuff, but from what I understand, the Pay Gap is a myth and misquoted miscited statistic.
Legally and in practice, it is highly ILLEGAL in the US and I imagine other similar societies to pay a woman LESS for the name exact work, wage negotiation is a different topic, though. But also worth going into at some point for clarity.
If women were being paid less for the same exact work, then companies would prefer women over men by far as employees.
I don't know if I agree men are more easily accepted in society than women. This is hard to quantify, because your level of acceptance in society is based on an individual basis heavily shaped by variables both within and without your control, and depends on the society in question itself.
It is also a question of era and social class and looks.
Women in the past were denied much, but in the more modern and civilized parts of the world, women have a ton of financial as well as social, and societal capital.
For example, in the US, on average, women of the dominant racial group get lighter sentencing that their peers for the exact same crimes. This is especially true if they are female, conventionally attractive, and young enough.
Women who fall within that specific social/racial hierarchy are shown more attention when they are in danger or missing, too.
Finally in the US and other similar parts of the Westen world, women control huge amounts of spending power.

@GeistInTheMachine I'm not disagreeing with you on any of these. We all need to step back and see the world from another's perspective. If anyone is missing or in danger it should get the same public attention and news headlines period. Its sad that its nor that way and needs to change immediately.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@sassypants I hear you.
Unfortunately, sometimes human nature is what it is, and you can't change it.
Only mitigate the damage we cause to ourselves.

@sassypants as a man we have it much easier physically. You could not pay me to switch.

@Spracer Must be nice to be able to open your own jars.
@sassypants Yes it is. I would open all of yours too.

@Spracer Lol. You're not lying.
@GeistInTheMachine Lol.
