Is there really a nation wide workers strike going on against low wage, late stage capitalism?

DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Biden was giving Americans who made under 75k a year <1,500 dollar stimulus checks every month and you get bonuses for every child and food stamps were doubled and tripled

People were staying at home and collecting checks because of the shutdown and continued to do this because why go to work when you can stay Home and get a check?

And then when it began to become a workers shortage many wouldn’t return to work on the basis that “places should pay more”

Democratic states continued paying people to stay home and republican states, like Florida, cut of unemployment benefits

Florida stopped facing a workers shortage probably a month after unemployment benefits were stripped

No there isn’t a worker shortage strike because wages aren’t enough. There is a worker shortage because president dumb fuck paid people to stay home for months while small businesses withered up and died and major businesses had to alter their hours and cut staff to save money as a result

@DeluxedEdition she hasn't worked in a year! A whole year of freedom. Aren't you enraged?
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Stopmakingsense of course. It’s unfair. Not to mention She has none of that money left to show because she spent it all on clothes and nails and going out instead of using it towards her bills like she should have

@DeluxedEdition that's why we don't have to worry about the USA becoming a democracy. Freedom is involved. Vacations, people on the dole -. Society without so much work. It's not coming to America! You're not ready.

It's not organized so not technically a strike but are people sick of low wage late stage capitalism and is that a big factor in why there is a domestic worker shortage?

Yes

@MarmeeMarch no house. No Amazon. Twice. The number of showers I took last year. Liar, much?

Individual action isn't the same as collective action.

@MarmeeMarch oh you mean working people becoming independent of the system? Yes I definitely advocate for that.
@Eternity How about people not acting like a bunch of numbnuts when something breaks - or needs to be repaired ? But hey lets run to mail order stores and support child slavery in China.

People are quitting jobs because they’re forcing the bullshit vaccinations. They’re not safe and have never been tested
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@jbon85 this too

DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@Stopmakingsense I apologize I didn’t mean to offend you with my swear word.

What country do you live in?

I don’t think you are lying. But I think your sources are lying

empanadas · 31-35, M
no, believe it or not lot of people that work with my aunt at a nyc school are quitting because they don't want the vaxx.
Stopmakingsense · 56-60, F
@empanadas the number doesn't account for the widespread quitting.
empanadas · 31-35, M
@Stopmakingsense actually it does. alot of minorities and whites are quitting their jobs throughout the nation because of the vax mandate
