Is mammography painful?

It can be. For example, I have breast implants and it's always been important to tell the radiographer that you have them. Then it's a case of having the actual breast pulled forward (of the implant) and x-rayed.

I think, regular gals have 2 x-rays per breast, but us 'enhanced' have to endure 2 additional ones per breast.

The docs generally say that the implants are safe to undergo these procedures but that the whole image of the breast might be distorted as they can't see the whole image of the breast tissue....

Still, it's a necessity, right?
