Why do young people like to give their children such ostentatious silly names?

Such as Taylor, Deliah and Callum? I agree that there are too many people called David, Paul and Mark but there is a limit to how unique a name can be before it becomes obvious they're trying to hard to make a point. Have the time I fear they've been influenced by social media.
