Do you feel like downvotes are being overused on here?

I've been seeing a lot of downvotes lately on harmless posts and comments, and I don't really get it. Someone must think that it's funny, I guess 🤔.

Some are just downright disrespectful but that says more about the cowardice and stupidity of the downposter.
I'd never use one anyway.
It's just another anonymous vehicle to hide behind on the internet. It doesn't work for me...
