Do you feel like downvotes are being overused on here?

I've been seeing a lot of downvotes lately on harmless posts and comments, and I don't really get it. Someone must think that it's funny, I guess 🤔.

But why are we so bothered by a down vote honestly speaking? You go on YouTube to your favourite music there's downvote , funny kitty vids...downvote. Even funny baby saying the darndest things video, downvote. So why all the fuss?

@SW-User Well enough downvotes can make your post hidden, from what I've read. And again, if it's a simple and harmless post, it would be a shame if no one can see it. I think enough downvotes on your posts can possibly send you to SW jail, although that might be a rumor.

@latinbutterfly Fair enough but how many downvotes does one need for the post to get hidden or go to jail? I think its highly unlikely that will happen for ordinary harmless posts.
