We're getting worried for my granddad.

He's had a uti infection for about 4 months now with each antibiotic getting stronger and stronger each time.
The last time my grandfather was given a higher dose I told my nan if nothing changes she should push for blood tests.
Im worried that the infection has spread. He's complaining of having poor sense of taste and appetite and he's losing a lot of weight.
I desperate to find out what it is.
I'd hate for it to be the big C.

So far he's not had a fever or complained of pain so it may not be as far as his kidneys yet, but this is getting worrying.

Today I told my nan to get some things to boost their immunity and boost his appetite/weight.
Sauerkrout, hummus, kefir and real cranberries to make their own cranberry juice. (since everything is filled with sugar)

Sounds like a doctor's appointment should be scheduled. You're all concerned.

@HannahSky when I spoke to my grandmother I told her to mention seeing a urologist. But she said the gp suggested sending a referral to the before she got the chance to ask.
When they went to do his bloods today. When she asked about the referral they hadn't sent it and that was 4 weeks ago!

😣🤯

I love them too much to deal with this stress. I can become a bit unnecessary and lose sight.
So I have to guide them with the knowledge I have and ask other relatives to chase it.
Otherwise I'll end up just ruining everything.

@Mellowgirl sounds like they're finally getting on it. I can see that it'd be a lot of stress for you, it's your grandfather.
