If you won $25 million on the lottery how much would you give away to charity ?

these responses amaze me... the attachment to material gain is so futile. I'd give as much away as I could, but I'd make damn sure that the funds were benefiting the people who needed it most. And i would be ruthless in that pursuit. I don't like charity. It attracts grifters who would capitalize off the wealth and gain moral currency (another word for them is American politicians). In my vision, people who are hungry, smart, disciplined and visionary would get my support. And a substantial part of their gain would go to people like them who need it most> See, people who succeed, for whatever reasons,, end up stepping on others. So it's not always about ideology, it's about personal id.
I don't see any value in supporting the hangers on....like the rich entitled kids of Republican parents.
And they are the first to invoke the values of the American work ethic when they have never worked a day in their lives

Most people with money donate, because charitable donations are deductible..its more about laundering money than its about helping the ones in need. Thats the reason behind my comment, not greed
@Traubi: and I agree with you totally
