I played the cello for 6 years, and I chose the instrument after hearing it during a TV commercial.

@Mellowgirl I'm not anymore, but back then I did play in my elementary, middle, and high school orchestras.

@Mellowgirl It might be less impressive when I tell you that anyone could join the school orchestras, no tryout of any kind needed. Sadly, I stopped playing after 10th grade which was years ago.

@FreshAirLover The Cello is awesome. Arguably the most underrated heavy metal instrument in existance. New wave band FunBoy 3 had a Cellist. They're not just for symphonies anymore.
