Do you feel this way too?

I was cleaning the men's bathroom at work and while the floor was drying a guy asked me "How long will it take before I can use it???" and I said "Oh, you can just use the other bathroom"
"The womens bathroom?" I nodded my head and said yes in reply.

Then he said "Yeah, maybe not, I have too much self respect for that"
and was left with this face馃槕 though all i said was ok.

[c=#BF0000]Does anyone really feel they lose self-respect by using the bathroom of the opposite gender?[/c] What respect was there to be lost. It just a freakin' bathroom! I really did not understand that. Usually it is the guys and most women seem ok with using the mens restroom. When I tell guys they can use the womens restroom they look at me like I squirted ketchup in front of them or something. Whats there to be surprised about. I was a little put off when he said that and why is everyone so surprised when I tell them they can use the "other" bathroom.

Not at all, but I definitely wouldn't be comfortable with using the Women's loo for obvious reasons.
Nah, I don't understand. Whats so uncomfortable?

I didn't say it was uncomfortable, did I? If it was a Women's bathroom that had a lock on it and was only used by one person at a time, I would be completely fine with it. If it was a larger bathroom with no lock, I kind of doubt that women who happened to be doing their "business" would appreciate me barging in on them.

@Lacrimosa: some women are more private than others and do not appreciate men in the restroom with them. I can understand that in some ways but I don't reply care as long as he isn't peeking at me.
@NigelDoes@Fungirlmmm: Yeah I can understand if it was a multi person bathroom. I could understand not wanting to use it then but just why are they like that with a one person restroom is what I was wonder
Fungirlmmm51-55, F
@Lacrimosa: oh it is just a toilet then not a restroom. It would depend on how nasty the men's room was. :)
@Fungirlmmm: The mens restroom gets really dirty, I don't even undersand how sometimes...馃槬

I used to clean the move theater I worked at when I was 16/17 to make extra money and the women's room was ALWAYS far dirtier than the men's. Best that I don't elaborate. hehe

Because a lot of men don't care and they pee in the seat and floor. Then dust sticks to it because it is wet.
@NigelDoes: I think I can understand. On some occasions the womens restroom is dirtier than the mens, and people don't hesitate to ask me to clean it
@Fungirlmmm: Hahaha, that is the real truth!

@Lacrimosa: yuck I make my nephew scrub his own toilet because when he has a wife some day I don't want her to have to deal with nastiness.
@Fungirlmmm: Wo you know i wish my mom had done that with my brother because he said he never cleaned the bathroom because he knew I would馃槕 I wish I wouldn't have had to deal with the nastiness!
