@Callmewhatyouwill Cant really escape it, seems to be the topic everywhere you know. :(
@Mellowgirl you can be acknowledge it exists and the potential risks with it without letting it influence and control every decision or obsess over it to the point of anxiety.
Same as driving, there's a risk you could be seriously injured or killed Everytime you get in a vehicle. Doesn't mean you obsess about an accident everyone your in a vehicle

@Callmewhatyouwill Thats usually due to anxiety. the last few men i trusted to drive me in a car were crazy. in a fit of rage one kept speeding the whole journey home. the second knew i was anxious and did 50 in a 20 mph zone approaching a traffic light.
i have taken taxis since and only felt safe in those as they are regulated.
when my mum drove we were both just as anxious simply because we just don't have much trust for each other anymore

@Mellowgirl even in a taxi risk exists. Obsessing over any of that leads to more anxiety. It's a vicious loop

@Callmewhatyouwill by law here they have to observe the highway code and taxi code. If not I could report them and they'd lose their license.
After the serial rapist "taxi" driver some years back lots of laws came in, then uber started up a whole range of new ones.

@Mellowgirl doesn't mean accidents can't or won't happen. They have driving laws here too. Doesn't stop them from happening.
