Soulmates. Do you believe in em? Because I have some questions...

- Do you only get one soulmate?
- What if your soulmate gets hit by a bus before you meet them?
- Do people who die early even have soulmates?
- Do abusive people get soulmates?
- What if your soulmate is a serial killer?
- What if your soulmate cheats on you?
- What if your soulmate wears socks with sandals?
- What if you don't want a soulmate but they show up?

I believe in common ground and that might change throughout the life. We might share it with someone in a certain episode of our life and if we get to meet each other at the right time we create connection but if we met 5 years later we might as well be complete strangers to each other. If the connection is built we start to influence each other and share our reality so the feeling of connection is reinforced.

..Or not, if like they say, it's all based on hormones and connection evaporates as soon as some biological need is fulfilled. 馃槓
@CrazyMusicLover What happens when there is no talk before and the biological desire proves you two are compatiable?

@thewindupbirdchronicles That's exactly the case where I'd be more wary and cautious about the latter scenario to happen.

@CrazyMusicLover There s a point at which responsibility for the kids takes over from romantic desire
Once they've left the nest though, what's left? Scary thought
@CrazyMusicLover Have you ever just taken on having a lover? You might find that connection breeds another connection

@thewindupbirdchronicles I can't honestly imagine that but I don't have the experience to confirm or deny if that is possible for me.

@DDonde Sometimes the life starts for the parents. 馃き There's this joke that goes: "Do you know when the life starts? When kids leave home and the dog dies." 馃槄 But I understand, I had a friend who had to temporarily return home because conflicts between his parents escalated to the point he was afraid they might do something to each other. I think it doesn't help when parents retire around the same time their kid leaves and suddenly find themselves being suffocated with each others presence with no buffer zone between them.
@CrazyMusicLover Well, I won't say how, and I've always been serious about relationships (and partners of mine would tell you) and I picked a very different path recently. It can open your mind
