I think that if you become a mature, caring, unselfish person with values, because you do things like take personal responsibility for your actions and can admit when you're wrong, you're always honest no matter what, you believe love is about giving and commitment not just feelings, you genuinely care about others...
When you're like that you can meet far more people who would feel like a soul mate.
If you're self-absorbed, sulky, dishonest, selfish person, immature person, then maybe there's no-one who's going to think you're their soul mate and wonderful to be around.
I think it's just like that.
