If you replace the name God

With the name Source or higher self would that denote the same thing? Would one be more religious or spiritual than the other? Or can they be used interchangeably? Explain.

@FallenOptimist22: I am not religious, but I do respect people regardless. I'm asking these Q's today as a result of some personal issues I've encountered recently. I wanted to get different perspectives. I do keep an open mind, and like to explore different ideas and what not. So what ever you and others offer to this post, or even any thing I post is much appreciated :)
