What if there were protestors outside this gated community?
Do you think that some areas should be white only or do you think that is illegal already.

there are other people, other than white living in gated communities.

True, but that is an incredibly easy way to segregate. Laws and amendments to the Constitution are very fluid.

@Pfuzylogic: they are legal. here in nyc, there are communities that own their own streets.

@SkyMike: I have heard of exclusion buy ability to afford house/condominium.
Currently there are Federal laws on discrimination by race based on the EEOC laws.
I have seen communities in rural Indiana try to racially discriminate to only get SLAMMED by the EEOC. The town had a highway sign posted against the practice on the highway to oppose the racial discrimination.

i think we are talking two different things,, gated communities have nothing to do with discrimination.

@SkyMike: Are you implying that EEOC laws do not affect them?
SW-User
@Pfuzylogic: gated communities are basically those that own their own streets.
Pfuzylogic · M
@SkyMike: interesting, EEOC laws still affect them.

@SkyMike: I have been researching this more. Wow, NYC is circumventing a lot of this. I was thinking that the deep South might be bad on this that.

You have pointed out something I had no idea on!

@Pfuzylogic: I really have no clue as to what you're saying.. gated communities are legal.. and you're talking of job discrimination? I told you, we are talking two different things.
SW-User
@Pfuzylogic: not really circumventing it. just not using the power of eminent domain to take back the streets, which would make gated communities non existent.

@SkyMike: It looks like HUD and CERD deal with discrimination in housing.
Gated communities are legal but racial discrimination on purchasing a home in a gated community wouldn't be.
